Bayside United Soccer Academy
“At a young age winning is not the most important thing. The important thing is to develop creative and skilled players with good confidence."
-Arsene Wenger, legendary Arsenal manager
Despite the lingering snow we’re eagerly anticipating long days on the grass and the start of a fantastic season. Our club has been hard at work all winter preparing for your player’s return to the field, and we can’t wait to see them in action. This spring you can expect fun, development-focused practices designed to get players moving, teach new skills, and foster a lifelong love of the game — just in time to cheer on your favorite teams at the World Cup. Bayside United continues to grow the game beyond recreation by traveling for friendly league play in the Northwoods League. Away matches may be hosted in Escanaba, Marquette, Niagara, Iron Mountain, and Houghton. Teams U12+ may also have the option to enter tournaments (additional fees apply) for extra competition.
We’re fortunate to be supported entirely by dedicated volunteer coaches and managers — thank you for all you do on and off the field. If you’d like to help, please get in touch; many hands make the load lighter.

Who We Are
We are a skills development soccer club that offers competitive play and travel opportunities. We are dedicated to growing players' skills, soccer knowledge, and high-character sportsmanship through age, gender, and ability appropriate opportunities. We teach kids to give maximum effort to challenge their talent.

Practices are held in Escanaba, field location TBD by coach, 2-3 times a week ranging from an hour to two hours depending on age and coach availability. Our club plays in the Northwoods League consisting of Houghton, Marquette, Niagara, Iron Mountain, Petoskey, and Sault Saint Marie. Coaches may set up games with surrounding area teams to play games. Bayside volunteers are the heart of our program. We are always looking for great people who love children to come help us on the fields! If you have soccer knowledge - fantastic! If your new to soccer - no worries. A positive attitude and a willingness to support and encourage the players is a must along with a desire to learn more about soccer. We provide coaches training, resources, supportive coaching teams with assist from high school players, along with a week-by-week guide and videos to walk you through the season. There is also week by week support from high school players to other volunteers. Our goal is to have your whole family enjoy the season!
