Bayside United Soccer Academy
“At a young age winning is not the most important thing. The important thing is to develop creative and skilled players with good confidence."
-Arsene Wenger, legendary Arsenal manager
Despite the lingering snow we’re eagerly anticipating long days on the grass and the start of a fantastic season. Our club has been hard at work all winter preparing for your player’s return to the field, and we can’t wait to see them in action. This spring you can expect fun, development-focused practices designed to get players moving, teach new skills, and foster a lifelong love of the game — just in time to cheer on your favorite teams at the World Cup. Bayside United continues to grow the game beyond recreation by traveling for friendly league play in the Northwoods League. Away matches may be hosted in Escanaba, Marquette, Niagara, Iron Mountain, and Houghton. Teams U12+ may also have the option to enter tournaments (additional fees apply) for extra competition.
We’re fortunate to be supported entirely by dedicated volunteer coaches and managers — thank you for all you do on and off the field. If you’d like to help, please get in touch; many hands make the load lighter.

Who We Are
We are a skills development soccer club that offers competitive play and travel opportunities. We are dedicated to growing players' skills, soccer knowledge, and high-character sportsmanship through age, gender, and ability appropriate opportunities. We teach kids to give maximum effort to challenge their talent.

What To Expect
Practices are held in Escanaba, field location TBD by coach, 2-3 times a week ranging from an hour to two hours depending on age and coach availability. Our club plays in the Northwoods League consisting of Houghton, Marquette, Niagara, Iron Mountain, Petoskey, and Sault Saint Marie. Coaches may set up games with surrounding area teams to play games. We guarantee one home match and one away within the League per session. Travel teams have a longer game season and would require overnight stays.

Volunteers Needed!
Bayside volunteers are the heart of our program. We are always looking for great people who love children to come help us on the fields! A positive attitude and a willingness to support and encourage the players is a must, along with a desire to grow in your soccer knowledge and work at a level up from recreation. We offer coaches training, certification, resources and supportive coaching teams. Also, if coaching isn’t your thing, we have need for team managers and other areas where help is needed. Our goal is to have your whole family enjoy the season!
Coaching is a great way to:
-
Spend quality time with your child
-
Support their team and build confidence
-
Get to know other families in the program
